5R Eco Farm is a family business and we focus on developing sustainable products for crop farming, livestock, poultry and cleaning. Our products are based on natural ingredients only and are organic. We produce Effective microbes products for sustainable agriculture and cleaning, our mission is to offers a solution and an alternative to chemicals and pesticides used in crop farming and cleaning as well as an alternative to growth hormones and antibiotics used in livestock and poultry farming.
The idea of our business was inspired and started by our older brother Wamuriu who has been living and working in Europe for over 24 years. The idea of protecting the environment, recycling, and using natural products instead of chemicals, pesticides, growth hormones and antibiotics is a big thing in Europe and Asia. This is what led Wamuriu to start researching the use of Effective microorganism Technology in farming and cleaning and how it would help farmers, environment, cleaning and eradicating bad smell back here in Kenya.
Our idea is based on chemical free, natural, sustainable farming and cleaning that also takes care of the environment. Environment is key and chemical free food is vital. Since the inception of our business idea we agreed to put environment at the fore front hence the “5R” principles: Recycle, Recover, Ruse, Reduce, Rethink - these are the principles that guide us in all our operations. Our products supports both agriculture production and biodiversity conservation working in harmony together to improve livelihood, eliminated chemical in our foods and practice sustainable farming and cleaning.
We believe in the concept of “ecological and economical” unless agriculture and cleaning are ecological they cannot be economical, and you don’t have to be rich to eat chemical free food or use chemical free cleaning methods. Effective Microorganism Technology is the answer.
